This is a challenging and intensive module for those serious about learning Latin in a short space of time. It is hoped that students will, on successful completion of this module, continue onto CLAS1902 Fast-Track Latin 2, with a possible view to reading Latin texts in the original in their next academic year. Attendance at all classes and completion of all homework is compulsory and will be closely monitored. The module is worth 20 credits and runs in semester 1 only, with 4 classes per week. Please note that you must take this module if you wish to be admitted to CLAS1902; you may, however, take this module without enrolling for CLAS1902. For further information, visit us at the Electives Fair or contact the Department of Classics, situated on the first floor of the Parkinson Building, south end (email: classics@leeds.ac.uk; website: www.leeds.ac.uk/classics/; telephone: 0113 343 3537).
